Connor's 1st Birthday

Posted by Paula Jones on 10/23/2005

Hi Connor:

It's your grandma in California.  I wanted to write to you today to let you know how much I love you.  Spending time with you on your 1st birthday meant everything to me.  Maybe because I was there in the room when you came into this world and your mommy and daddy saw you for the first time.  Watching you grow this year, through visits, pictures, hearing you on the phone, I have enjoyed so much.  You smile all the time and your personality is so cute.  Just looking into your eyes  I see such a special little guy.  Watching how your mommy and daddy take care of you with everything from always having time to play with you; making sure you are safe from those nasty germs; giving you all your necessary medicines and treatments; making you look so cool everywhere you go; making you "number one" in their life, makes me see the true love of Christ.  It's hard to talk about feelings Connor, and I know you can't understand me right now.  I only  write these words so they are recorded for you later on in life to read and feel the love that I have for you.  I was the lucky mommy who brought your mommy into this world and I raised her the best way I could.  Seeing her happy with your daddy and how she is being the best mommy for you, makes me proud of her and feel peace inside.  Connor, you are a lucky little boy surrounded by family that loves you and will always do all we can for you and your mom and dad to keep your happy and healthy.

So much love for you 2000 miles away,

Grandma Paula in Cali
